Breakfast Menu

Our ethos is that no matter what your dietary requirements, we will prepare you a healthy, tasty breakfast focusing on organic, non GMO foods wherever possible.  We cater for  vegetarians, vegans, those with allergies, and those who prefer a raw vegan diet.  All the items on the Breakfast menu are gluten and wheat free  (in fact we operate a gluten free kitchen) and those that are vegetarian have a vegan alternative.   We are very allergy aware, and can adapt most recipes to suit most dietary requirements.  A full allergy list is available at reception and the menu is marked with potential allergens.  All foods are prepared and cooked separately and have separate food preparation areas for different dietary requirements.

Breakfast is served between 8am – 9am daily.  If you are planning on an early walk we can offer an early breakfast from 7am or if you are having to depart very early why not order a “Breakfast to Go pack”?

Help yourself to cereals and juice from a selection on the side table.
A porridge platter is also available. If you can not eat gluten free porridge oats, we can make you a rice and quinoa porridge instead….Please order the night before.

COOKED VEGETARIAN / VEGAN BREAKFAST 

A healthy protein packed breakfast cooked in the aga.  Red onion and Rosemary sausage, baked beans, Sauteed mushrooms, Grilled tomato and fried potatoes, Fried, scrambled or poached egg for vegetarians and scrambled tofu for vegans. 

VEGAN SUPREME

Baked Tempeh rashers with chilli jam, Baked mushrooms, tomato, Spinach, fried bread, baked beans and polenta coated tomato tofu.

JAPANESE TOFU TRIANGLES

Sauteed potatoes topped and aga baked mushrooms topped with Japanese Tofu triangles and served with tomato wedges. Tasty and healthy and just a little bit different. 

MUSHROOMS ON TOAST WITH GARAM MASALA AND SAVOURY CRUNCHIES. 

Hand made baked soya bean crunchy balls served on toasted wholemeal bread with lightly spiced sautéed mushrooms, poached egg (optional) and tomato sauce.   

CHICKPEA PANCAKE

A lightly spiced protein packed pancake with sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, onion and herbs, garnished with avocado oil and pomegranate molasses 

Or

Filled with mushrooms in a cream or soya cream and herb sauce   

LUXURY SCRAMBLED TOFU ON TOAST WITH TOMATOES

Lightly spiced scrambled tofu cooked with onion, pepper and mushrooms and served on artisan organic seeded toast.  Served with an aga baked tomato.

SIMPLE SCRAMBLED EGGS or TOFU ON TOAST

Lightly scrambled eggs from the valley or light fluffy scrambled tofu, served on toast with aga baked tomato,  

Or with cheese and tomato (VEGAN CHEESE AVAILABLE). 

BOILED EGGS cooked to your liking  

KITCHIRI (vegetarian or vegan)

A light start to the day. Packed with protein, lightly spiced basmati rice, fresh herbs and smoked tofu.(with chopped egg for vegetarians).
