Our ethos is that no matter what your dietary requirements, we will prepare you a healthy, tasty breakfast focusing on organic, non GMO foods wherever possible. We cater for vegetarians, vegans, those with allergies, and those who prefer a raw vegan diet. All the items on the Breakfast menu are gluten and wheat free (in fact we operate a gluten free kitchen) and those that are vegetarian have a vegan alternative. We are very allergy aware, and can adapt most recipes to suit most dietary requirements. A full allergy list is available at reception and the menu is marked with potential allergens. All foods are prepared and cooked separately and have separate food preparation areas for different dietary requirements.
Breakfast is served between 8am – 9.00am daily. If you are planning on an early walk we can offer an early breakfast from 7am or if you are having to depart very early why not order a “Breakfast to Go pack”?

VEGETARIAN / VEGAN BREAKFAST
A protein packed breakfast baked in in the aga. Vegan sausages, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, grilled tomato and fried, scrambled or poached egg for vegetarians, or scrambled tofu for vegans ( veggie contains egg/ vegan contains soya).
SCRAMBLED EGGS ON TOAST
Fluffy scrambled eggs from the valley, served with an aga baked tomato on toasted artisan bread (vegetarian, contains egg).
TOMATO AND MUSHROOM PANCAKES
Mildly spiced chickpea pancakes filled with sautéed mushrooms, tomato, onion and herbs, garnished with avocado oil and a
pomegranate molasses (vegan)
MUSHROOM CREAM AND HERB PANCAKES
Mildly spiced chickpea pancakes filled with sautéed mushrooms in a cream and herb sauce (can be veggie or vegan).
Based on the original Indian recipe which inspired the classic breakfast dish known as Kedgeree. Made with basmati rice and tasty green lentils (vegan)
LUXURY SCRAMBLED TOFU
Lightly scrambled tofu with onions, peppers and mushrooms, served on lightly toasted home made artisan bread and accompanied by an aga baked tomato (vegan, contains soya)
CHEESY SCRAMBLED EGGS / TOFU
Cheesy scrambled eggs from the valley served with an aga baked tomato on home made lightly toasted artisan bread (vegetarian contains eggs. Can be vegan containing soya)
For those who only want a light breakfast why not enjoy two of our valley eggs boiled to your liking served with home made lightly toasted artisan bread. (contains eggs)
There is often a seasonal daily special available which will be advertised on the blackboard on reception each day.
